How to Properly Wrap a Cable (the Over and Under Roadie Wrap)

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008

I learned this a few years ago from my boss Mitch who required us to wrap cables this way. I thought it was a pain at first but as I realized I almost never had hangups, knots, or bumpy cables I really learned to value this technique. Try it out wrapping everything from audio cables to power cords. It’s a standard for me now and it’s now I teach my techies how to wrap cables.

Notice in the video that he unwinds the cable effortlessly and never has a kink or even a twist.

I love kink-free cables!

Anybody here gonna back my up on how well this works for the ones who don’t buy it yet? Leave a comment.

Hat-tip to Anthony Coppedge for the tip on this video.
