Inside Out Worship/Tech Confessional - October 8, 2008

October 9th, 2008

Tonight’s Inside Out (Youth Service at St. Simons Community Church) was an interesting night with some funky messups but serious worship. Watch the video for the details and the severe ADD as Shannon and I recap the night.

Obama and Infanticide

October 8th, 2008

I usually hate talking politics because the conversation usually gets heated pretty quickly. After some research on Obama I’ve decided to lay that down and heat things up myself.

Obama is a voting supporter of the pro-choice movement, even voting against a law banning infanticide and post birth abortion. He wants change and apparently the murder of babies after they are born is part of this change he wants. Think of the change that would happen after election.

One of My Favorite Times Each Week

October 1st, 2008

As you know I’m a graphic designer at St. Simons Community Church. Well I also manage the tech and media for the youth group. Well I’m sitting right now in the sound booth while Justin, one of our youth pastors, is teaching the kids. The first picture is Justin teaching. The second is the youth band playing “The Stand” by Hillsong. We have 60 or so kids here tonight. Rock on.

The photos are from my MacBook iSight.

I was ___ and YOU ___

September 30th, 2008

Note to self… when Jesus said in Matthew 25 “I was ___ and YOU ___”, He didn’t say “I was ___ and YOUR CHURCH ___”.

Don’t rely on the church to distribute love FOR you. Do it AS the the church.

Just sayin…

Matthew 25:35-40 (New International Version)

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’
