This is as true today as it was when Paul wrote this ages ago. Let Christ shine through everyday. We must not forget to spread the good news. Aren't we as Christians supposed to tell people about the gospel? "Go into all the world and preach the good news..." is what the bible says yet you mentioned this once and emphasized to not convert, just love. This is true but wouldn't you invite the person to church? Not to a bonfire. I thought it would have been nicer if you would have talked more about using this "evil" day as a way to get people to the feet of Jesus and not just chit-chat the night away. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is." This verse is saying to ask God what He thinks, because what He sayes could be different for each person. As for me, God gave me this verse, Ephesians 5:11 "Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness." Now, God may tell you differently, because He works everything together for good. God may even tell you something one year, and then something different another year. He sees the whole picture, and He knows the needs of all your neighbors.
