I get to play music again! It’ll be my first time in months playing with a band. This time with Shannon, the youth worship leader for SSCC during the main services this Sunday.

The final piece to be installed on our church was this cross. It was neat for so many of us to celebrate this completed work together the day it was placed on top.

I love Summer Sunday nights at the Gathering Place.

As a kid in high school, the GP helped shape who I am today. Now than I’m grown up I volunteer my photography in hopes that my shutter can help the GP continue doing the same in kids’ lives today. Here’s a shot from backstage where I put down my Canon 40D’s and pulled out my iPhone. Trent is one of the high schoolers on the worship team. He’s a killer guitar player.

Well not too long ago I launched ChrisMoncusPhoto.com and officially launched Chris Moncus Photography! Amanda and I realized we never officially announced it over here so consider it announced!

The best place to start would probably be the blog. It’ll give you a glimpse into who we are, how we work, and what we do.

We are located in the Golden Isles of Georgia and spend most of our time shooting weddings, portraits, and sports on St. Simons Island, Jekyll Island, and Brunswick, GA. We are available for destination shoots as well.

Amanda and I finally found one! Found what? A photographer’s meetup!

The Glynn Photographer’s Meetup is a group of people that meet at a certain location, shoot, go home and develop, print, and then show off their work a couple weeks later. It was really fun just to shoot with and talk with other photographers in the area.
