The Church That Blogs Together Stays Together
Tuesday, October 30th, 2007Two of my fellow St. Simons Community Church (SSCC) staff members just joined the blog/website world this week. Joining Fred McKinnon, Shannon Lewis, and me are David Yarborough and Travis Paulding.
David is our pastor at SSCC. He is the guy that God has given the responsibility to lead our group of believers in knowing Him more. What a task. I’d say he is doing a fine job and in the nine months I’ve been on staff he’s only gotten better at it.
Not only does he have a new website, but he also writes a weekly article for the Brunswick News called “What’s the Word?”. Catch it on SSCC’s website where you can also grab the sermon podcast, most of the time featuring him.
Travis is my boss or supervisor or something. He’s a great video artist and does some pretty pimp things with After Effects and Final Cut Studio. He’s also about 3 months away from being a first-time dad. Woohoo!
He’s fun to work with and probably the best boss I’ve had. (Does that increase my chances of a large raise? Just checking.) Anyway, go to his new blog.
And to those aforementioned bloggers, who are now on my blogroll…. why am I not on some of yours? Ahem!

If you know me you know I love worship concerts. Last year, Worship Under the Stars brought the world of big worship concerts to the Golden Isles of Georgia. It was a huge success and brought over 3000 people from different backgrounds, denominations, and demographics together to sing to and worship our King. All this in leiu of Hurricane Ophelia which caused us to change venues and almost cancelled the event!
